We're finally getting somewhere
The chemical injection process took a long time and then we had to wait almost a week for the post-injection soils test to ensure the injection had done its job. The good news is that the test came back and the soil now has a PVR (Potential Vertical Rise) of less than an inch (actually .03 inches). So that is good. The injection was an expense we hadn't planned on but it enabled us to eliminate piers, which saved some on the concrete, which made up for part of it. Hopefully we can make up the rest in other parts of the budget.
Now that that is out of the way, the foundation guy is finally able to get started. Formboards went up today and they will trench tomorrow, then the plumber and electrician do their groundwork, inspections, etc. and we should hopefully pour early next week. So by the end of next week, we should have a slab!
Here are some pictures from the foundation work today.

They had to do some more dirtwork since the chemical injection machine tore it up pretty good. Thankfully the concrete guys were willing to do it so we didn't have yet another delay.

Hannah next to the house, all formed and ready for trenching.
