Our first severe weather in the new house

So some of you may have heard (or experienced) about the big storm that came though North Texas on Friday night. There were 3 tornadoes that touched down in the DFW area, one of them in our county. I took some photos of the storm from our back porch but they are pretty dark. In terms of shelter from storms, while we didn't go so far to build a concrete or steel tornado room in the house, we do have a part of our pantry that is under the stairs and reinforced pretty well. That is where we keep our 72 hour kits, etc. and where the kids and Julie hung out until the storm passed. Nothing more than a lot of wind and rain at our place though, which was good. There was baseball sized hail in other aread of the metroplex and a new roof would not have been fun.
